Safari is a popular, free web browser that is developed by Apple and comes installed by default on Mac OS X systems.
1) Click in the address bar and type apple.com/safari

2) Press the Enter key to load the website.
3) Click the large download button.

4) Choose to download Safari for either Leopard or Snow Leopard.

5) Optionally, enter your email address if you want to receive news, updates, and information from Apple.
6) Choose your location and click Download Now.

Safari will begin downloading, and the installer will start automatically.

7) Click Continue.

8) Click Continue.

9) You must accept the license agreement to install the software.

10) Click Install.

11) Type your password to allow the installer to make changes.

12) Click OK.
13) Click Continue Installation.

Your computer must restart for the changes to take effect. Then, you can begin using Safari.

If you have an older version of Safari, you should upgrade as soon as possible since newer releases have security and bug fixes.
1) Click the apple.

2) Then click Software Update.
3) Your computer will check for new updates.

4) Click Show Details.

5) Make sure the box next to Safari is checked.

6) Click Install.

You must restart your computer for the updates to finish installing. Then, you can begin using Safari.

A cookie is a piece of text that is stored on your computer by a web browser. Cookies can be used to store login info, preferences and shopping cart data. Many websites require cookies to be enabled before you can access them.
1) To see options to manage cookies, open the menu.

2) Click Preferences.
3) Go to the Security tab.

Use these options to allow cookies always, never or to block cookies from third parties.

4) Click Show Cookies to view the list of cookies that are currently stored.

You can search for cookies and manually delete ones from sites you don’t recognize.
5) Click a cookie or site.

6) Then click Remove.

7) To delete all cookies, click Remove All.

Once you click Remove All, the deleted cookies cannot be recovered.

The History in web browsers is a list of all websites you have visited and can become quite large with frequent use.
1) Click the Safari menu.

2) Click Preferences.
You can set how long items will appear in your history.
3) Choose Manually if you want to delete items yourself.

5) To view all your history, click History.

6) Hover over the options to expand menus.
The pages visited on this day show up here.

7) Click Show Top Sites.
Top Sites is a list of web pages that you visit the most often.

8) Click History.

Use the scroll bar to view the pages you have visited.

9) Click Clear History to delete all pages in your history.
10) Once you click Clear, the pages will be permanently deleted.
