Repoint DNS from 123-reg.co.uk Print

The purpose of this tutorial is to teach you how to repoint your DNS (Domain Name Servers) settings fromt 123-reg.co.uk to FatCat Servers

If your domain name is registered through 123-reg.co.uk, you will need to go to their site, and point your domain name to FatCat Servers DNS Servers

   Name Server 1: NS1.FATCATSERVERS.com
   Name Server 2: NS2.FATCATSERVERS.com
   Name Server 3: NS3.FATCATSERVERS.com

1. Let's begin by going to the 123-reg.co.uk home page and logging in
2. Click on the Manage link
3. Now click on the Change name servers link. This takes you to the Change
4. name servers page, where you need to scroll down to the Nameserver boxes
5. Enter the FatCat DNS Servers listed above in the boxes
6. Continue until you have added all 3 name servers
7. Click on the Change name servers button
8. That completes the changing of the DNS settings
9. You may now click on the Logout link in the right hand corner

The settings have been successfully updated, and your domain is now pointing to your new hosting account on FatCat Servers

Please remember while propagation usually takes place in a couple of hours, it can take as lons as 48 hours for your domain name to fully propagate after you make these changes.
