The purpose of this tutorial is to teach you how to repoint your DNS (Domain Name Servers) settings fromt GoDaddy.com to FatCat Servers

If your domain name is registered through GoDaddy.com, you will need to go to their site, and point your domain name to FatCat Servers DNS Servers

    Name Server 1: NS1.FATCATSERVERS.com
    Name Server 2: NS2.FATCATSERVERS.com
    Name Server 3: NS3.FATCATSERVERS.com

There are two or more nameserver (NS) settings that must each be changed. Let's begin by going to the GoDaddy.com home page.

  1. Enter your Username/Customer# and Password, and then click the GO button. You are now logged in to your GoDaddy.com account.
  2. Click on the Domain Manager link on the left hand side. This will open the Domains page.
  3. Click on the name servers Icon. This will open the Nameserver panel for this domain name. You can see the current DNS settings that need to be changed to FatCat Servers nameservers.
  4. Click on the link called Manage. This will open the Set name servers page.
  5. Erase and enter the FatCat Servers DNS settings in the boxes, for Name Server 1, Name Server 2, and Name Server 3.
  6. Click the OK button when you are finished. You will get a screen informing you that the changes have been submitted.

Click the Logout link in the upper right corner.

You have sucessfully updated your DNS settings, and your domain is now pointing to your new hosting account on Fatcat Servers.

NOTE: Please remember while propagation usually takes place in a couple of hours, it can take as long as 48 hours for your domain name to fully propagate after you make these changes.
