There are several things that must take place before you can begin to transfer your domain name.

This tutorial assumes that you already have a domain registered with 000domains.com, and we are going to start on their home page.

The first thing you must do is make sure the domain name is not locked or it will be prevented from transfer away from 000domains.com.

  1. Begin by entering your 000domains.com account username or domain name and password in the boxes on the log-in screen. Now click on the login button. You are now logged in to your 000domains.com account.
  2. Click on the My Domains link in the tabs at the top of the page.
  3. Scroll down to Step 1. Select the domain you would like to manage by checking the box in front of the name.
  4. In Step 2, in the drop-down list, select Unlock these Domains.
  5. Click on the Go button. You will now see a Domain Locking Results page.

The lock has now been removed from the domain name, so it can be transferred to FatCat Servers Web Hosting.

Next you should verify that your Contact Info is correct and up-to-date. The transfer request approval will be emailed to the administrative contact, and must have action for transfer to proceed.

And finally you should obtain the transfer authorization code. It is the authorization code that allows the registries to permit the transfer of your domain name. This code is needed by FatCat Servers to begin the transfer process.

Note: The transfer code may be called by a different name I.E. EPP Code, Key Code, Transfer Key, etc.

When finished, click the log out link, in the left hand side menu.

You are now ready to transfer your domain, or contact support to initiate the domain transfer request.
