The purpose of this tutorial is to help you get started when you are transferring your domain from DynaDot.com to FatCat Servers.

There are several things that must take place before you can begin to transfer your domain name.

This tutorial assumes that you already have a domain registered with DynaDot.com, and we are going to start on their home page.

The first thing you must do is make sure the domain name is not locked or it will be prevented from transfer away from DynaDot.com.

  1. Begin by entering your DynaDot.com account username and password in the boxes on the log-in screen. Now click on the Sign In button. You are now logged in to your DynaDot.com account.
  2. Click on the Domain Names link on the right hand side. This opens a screen with all your domains, called Manage Domain Names.
  3. Select the domain for which you want to remove the lock off by clicking on the domain name. This opens the Edit Domain Name screen.
  4. Scroll down, to the Transfer Lock section. In the drop-down box, select unlocked, and click on Submit.

The lock has now been removed from the domain name, so it can be transferred to FatCat Servers Web Hosting.

Next you should verify that your Contact Info is correct and up-to-date. The transfer request approval will be emailed to the administrative contact, and must have action for transfer to proceed.

And finally you should obtain the transfer authorization code. It is the authorization code that allows the registries to permit the transfer of your domain name. This code is needed by FatCat Servers to begin the transfer process.

Note: The transfer code may be called by a different name I.E. EPP Code, Key Code, Transfer Key, etc.

When finished, click the Signout link, on the right hand side of the page.

You are now ready to transfer your domain, or contact support to initiate the domain transfer request.

This ends this tutorial. You now know how to unlock your domain at DynaDot.com, so it can be transferred to FatCat Servers Web Hosting.
