Click the Administer link

Themes are an easy way to change the look and feel of your Drupal site

Scroll down

Click the Themes link here

Scroll down

Click here to enable a new theme…

… then click here to make this new theme the default theme

Scroll down

When finished, click Save configuration

That’s it! As you can see by the look of the website, our theme has changed

Let’s change our default theme back to the way it was

Click Create content

Click Story

This is the Create Content page, where you can choose to create new pages or new stories for your web site

Stories are articles that have a title, a teaser and a body… but can be extended by other modules. Stories may be used as a personal blog or for news articles

Enter theTitle of the story here

This is the page where we can create new stories on our Drupal site

Then enter the Body of the story here

Scroll down

When ready, click the Submit button

Let’s see how to edit the new story, click Edit

That’s it! The new story has been created

We can Edit or Delete the story we just created on this page

Click Delete

Click Delete to confirm

That’s it! The new story has been deleted

Click the Administer link

Then click Site configuration

Click the Administration theme link

This is the Site Configuration page where we can modify many aspects of our Drupal site

Click here to show the theme dropdown menu and seletct a new theme

This is the theme page where we can change the look of our Drupal Administration area

Click Save configuration

Let’s change back to the default theme

As you can see, our theme has changed to the bluemarine theme

That’s it! Our theme has been changed back to the default

Next, click the Clean URLs link

Click the Date and time link

If this option is enabled, the URL’s created by Drupal will be “clean” which will make them more efficient for search engine indexing. To enable Clean URLs, click here

Click the Error reporting link

This is the Date and Time area, where we can configure how the dates and times are displayed

On this page we can customize the error report pages

Click the Site information link

This is the Site Information page where we can set a name and slogan for our Drupal site

Enter a Name for the site here

Then enter your Email address

You can optionally enter a Slogan here

When finished, click Save configuration

That’s it! Our information has been changed and you can see our new site name here

How to change your password in Drupal

Now let’s learn how to change our Drupal password

Click the My account link

Then click the Edit link

This is the edit account page where we can configure our account and change our password

Enter a new password here

Confirm your password by entering it again here

Be sure the password match indicates “Yes”, otherwise you’ll have to re-enter your password in both boxes to ensure both entries match

Then click Save

The password has been successfully changed

Then enter the Body of the page here

Click Submit

That’s it! The new page has been created

Click the Edit link here

You can edit the title or body of the page from here…

… or you can remove the page from your web site by clicking Delete

Click Delete to confirm
